It’s easy to remember images that impress me. I also like the blue and orangish coloring on this.

True, the color stands out against all the b&w stuff. And then there’s the rust, sort of half way between color and b&w. It also contributes to my liking of this photo.
I like it that this shot is ALMOST monochrome, as you said “halfway between.”
