About
This blog started its life as a collaboration between poet Laurie Jameson and photographer Melinda Green Harvey. Laurie very graciously contributed haiku from one through three hundred fifty nine.
From haiku three hundred sixty forward, I am both photographer and poet.
Laurie passed away in July 2021, and I miss her every day.
My other photography project is One Day | One Image. I am currently represented by Broadway Contemporary Fine Art Gallery.
Laurie, you have some wonderful work here. I’m very impressed.
A few years ago, while on a business trip to Austin, a friend took me to a BBQ restaurant in Llano and I had one of the 3 best meals of my life there.
Thanks for your comment. This is Melinda, standing in for Laurie. I will let her know you appreciate her poetry – she’s an excellent poet, and I am very pleased that she agreed to team up with me on this project.
When she and her husband were contemplating their move to Texas, Llano won out, because of the BBQ.
Fabulous photography.
I undertake to answer your question in due course. Great format/great work.
Thanks for finding the blog, and I will await your answer!
Hi Melinda!!! I just discovered you blog. I really like your work. Nice to meet you and I would love to follow your photographic journey. Have good day…:)
Thanks! I am happy to have you along for the journey.
HI,
I’m Tokoni, a student and poet. Its nice to meet you. I’d like to invite you to my blog at http://www.insanitybeautiful.wordpress.com if you’re interested. Thanks.
What an awesome idea for a blog! The haiku really add something. I do a bit of photoblogging myself, but my photos are quite as spectacular as these 🙂
I also tweet with bloggers and share blogs on Facebook. I use a lot of photoblogs on Facebook because those get tons of likes. I shared “Six Hundred Fifty Three” today & I have you on my WordPress list of photobloggers.
Happy Holidays!
Thanks for posting my haiku and photo on your Facebook page!
My other blog – One Day | One Image (http://melindagreenharvey.com) – features a new photo every day, which you probably could figure out from the title. It’s got a Facebook page, too (http://on.fb.me/1krIn6z), if you’d like to wander over there and check it out.
Happy holidays, back!
I will certainly do that. I caught that page like and gave yours some likes, too.
Just changing the way I Facebook. I share a lot of photoblogs. Usually start them on my timeline early in the day and then on the page in the afternoon.
I’ve got this one on a list of go-to blogs that post good photos now 🙂
Thanks for all your support of my blogs!
Melinda…you have become a very good poet as well as a photographer…thank you.

Thanks! I appreciate your comment (even if it took me nearly forever to reply)!

You have some wonderful pictures Melinda. I am a definite follower!
Thanks! I am glad you enjoy my work. (I’ve just stopped by your blog, and am now following.)
Very good stuff! Thanks for sharing… I look forward to more 🙂
Thanks for spending time on the blog, and for following it. I have another photography project at http://www.melindagreenharvey.com – stop by for a visit, if you’ve got time!
Although my photography knowledge could be written on the back of a postage stamp, I’ve been a long-time fan of those who appreciate and demonstrate the poetry of photography. I have enjoyed looking at your examples of that, and I sincerely believe that some of the photographs alone are poetic. I’ll be following your blog and I look forward to developing my appreciation of both facets of your artwork.
You are the most inspirational poetry blogger I came across here…thank you for your wonderful art.
And thank YOU for your wonderful comment! I appreciate your support of what I’m doing.
Awesome photography here!
Thank you very much; I appreciate your taking the time to comment.
Beautiful Haiku, beautiful photography. I absolutely adore this blog! I went through the first few posts systematically and then a few random ones WordPress suggested. Each and every post is amazing. Wish I had the time to go through each and every one. I am so glad I found your blog.
Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know you enjoy the blog! I hope to see you around here often!
Also – I just started following your blog!
Thank you! 🙂
It’s a wonderful initiative I must admit. Hope for getting something new from your blog.
Thank you – I hope you DO find something new here!
I love your photography, very create and unique. I especially like photos of the banal that give sense of human presence, you capture that well.
Hey, thanks for the follow! I love shooting the mundane things that seem often overlooked. And I often think that, while I rarely shoot photos with people, almost everything I shoot *implies* them.
And you’re in Dallas? That makes us practically neighbors, since I’m over here in Lubbock….
That’s really cool. I can see that, I mostly enjoy that kind of photography. Yes I am, haha it does, I’ve been up to Lubbock a handful times, didn’t do much photography there though. I should have.
It’s hard to do street photography here (unless you want to shoot, literally, the street), because there aren’t people out walking around!
Let me know if you’re ever back over here!
